Also is there any nice bars recommendation for Christmas countdown?

You'll find most shopping centers keep regular hours through Christmas Eve, though some of the smaller ones in areas like Ekkamai might close by 9pm. For a countdown spot that's not a rooftop, check out Havana Social on Sukhumvit Soi 11, it's hidden behind a laundromat facade and has a Cuban vibe with live salsa on weekends. They do a midnight toast with free-flow rum punch, but you'll want to reserve a table since it fills up fast with the expat crowd.

Malls in Bangkok mostly run normal hours on Christmas Eve, though some might close an hour earlier than usual. CentralWorld and Siam Paragon usually stay open until 10pm. For countdown bars, Tichuca Rooftop Bar at T-One Building is popular but expect a queue, I'd suggest getting there before 8pm. If you want something less crowded, try Speakeasy at Hotel Muse on Langsuan Road, they do a decent Christmas cocktail menu.

Most places will run normal hours on the 24th, but the BTS and MRT both stop around midnight so don't get stranded in Thonglor. For a countdown spot that's not a rooftop circus, Rabbit Hole on Soi Sukhumvit 49 is a small speakeasy with proper cocktails and no cover charge. They'll probably have a live DJ and it stays open until 2am.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
