Which are the best gentlemen clubs in Bangkok?

ngl the whole cowboys and nana thing gets old fast if you're here more than a weekend. for something diff try Climax on Ratchada 3, it's a bit out of the way but the setup is more like a club with a dancefloor and the vibe is way less pushy. got a buddy who swears by the whiskey deals there, 800 baht for a bottle of Johnnie Black which is decent. just cab it back since the soi is kinda dark after midnight

If you're after something that feels less like a theme park and more like an actual night out, Soi Thonglor has a few places that fly under the radar. The Clubs on Thonglor 13 is a solid pick if you want a mix of lounge vibe and girls who actually hold a conversation, not just the standard bar rotation. The cover charge is around 500 baht and lady drinks run 200 to 300, which is fair for the area. It gets busy around midnight on weekends so getting there earlier helps.

honestly depends on what you're after. if you want the full on touristy experience with shows and all that, Soi Cowboy is where most people end up. Nana Plaza is a bit more chaotic but has some solid spots like Billboard or Angelwitch. if you're looking for something a bit more high end with actual service, check out The Pimp on Sukhumvit 33, it's pricey but the girls are actually chatty and not just rushing you for drinks. just keep in mind the lady drinks add up fast anywhere u go

Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but I've always found their som tam a bit tame on the pla ra. If you want the real funky version, try the shophouse spots along Soi Udomsuk 26, near the night market end. They pound it fresh with fermented fish that'll clear your sinuses, and it's like 60 baht. Different style from the On Nut places, more Lao-leaning.

for som tam specifically i'd say the Isaan spots in Chatuchak are underrated, weekdays only though since the weekend crowd ruins the vibe. there's a stall near gate 2 that does tam pa with fermented bamboo shoots, super sour and funky, not something you see much in On Nut. if you're already heading north for Or Tor Kor anyway its worth the detour.

honestly the som tam at Krua Dok Mai Kao is good but what got me hooked is their nam prik pla raa dip with the raw veggies, that funk hits way harder than the papaya does. think most people sleep on it cuz they just order the som tam and gai yang. also pro tip, go before noon on weekdays, after that teh pla ra gets milder cuz they batch it for the lunch rush
