Besides visiting temples but what else is there to do during the day on a day to day basis. Bonus points if it's not something typical!

If you want something that doesn't feel like a checklist, rent a bicycle and ride through Bang Krachao. It's a massive green area across the river, often called Bangkok's green lung, with elevated walkways through the forest and stilted houses. You can take the ferry from Khlong Toei for a few baht, spend a couple hours pedaling around, and stop at one of the floating markets on the way back. It's quiet and feels miles away from the city noise.

ngl the daytime food scene in bangkok is honestly underrated compared to the nightlife. hit up yaowarat road in chinatown around 10am when the shops open, you'll find stuff like grilled seafood and fresh dim sum that doesn't show up at night. also charoen krung soi 30 has this old school coffee shop called on lok yun that's been around forever, their toast and soft boiled eggs are perfect for a lazy morning. for something less typical, check out the artist's house in bangkok noi, it's a wooden gallery by the canal with free puppet shows on weekends, costs like 20 baht for a drink

Honestly, just wander into random soi (side streets) on foot or by bike, you'll find tiny street food stalls or local markets that aren't in any guidebook. Also, try a morning boat ride on the khlongs (canals) for a totally different vibe, it's way more chill than the usual tourist stuff

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
