I'm in the process of establishing a startup focused on cutting-edge innovation and technology. (technology that enhances people's experience and comfort in environments such as shopping malls, airports, lobbies, stores, and similar spaces.) I'll be visiting Bangkok in January and again in March, and I'm keen to connect with local angel investors. I genuinely believe this product has strong potential for the Asian market, and I'm eager to explore opportunities for collaboration.
However, as someone from Finland, I don't have connections in Bangkok's business sector yet. Could anyone provide advice on how to approach local angel investors and business people, or recommend ways to arrange meetings while I'm there?

you might want to hit up the true digital park area near wipawadi-rangsit, it's not as central but they host a lot of tech meetups and some investors hang around the lobby cafes there. also check out the bangkok startup weekly on meetup.com, they do casual drinks every wednesday at a different bar, way easier to talk to people than formal events. for january just be aware of the burning season, air can get rough so bring a mask if u plan to walk between places
yeah the coworking space tip is solid. also check out the bangkok angel network events, they do monthly meetups where you can pitch informally. if you're in sukhumvit area, grab a coffee at kaizen or roots in ekkamai, lot of startup folks pass through there. january timing is decent since the holiday rush settles down by the second week
Honestly, try checking out some co-working spaces like Hubba or The Hive when you're here. Lot of expat founders and investors just hanging out, you can prob start a convo over coffee and find leads that way

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
