check the japanese section at central world's gourmet market, they sometimes rotate in special imports from japan but it's random. honestly your best bet is the little import shop on sukhumvit 33/1, near the phrom phong bts exit 4, they bring in seasonal japanese snacks and i've seen tokyo banana there twice in the last year. you could also try calling the don don donki in thong lo, their stock changes weekly and the staff might know if they're expecting a shipment

not that i've seen, and i check the snack aisles at tops and gourmet market pretty often. there are a few import shops around siam square that carry japanese sweets, but they usually stock morinaga or meiji stuff not tokyo banana specifically. if you're ok with something similar, the castella cakes at the little bakery in thong lo are a decent swap, softer and honey-flavored instead of custard

I haven't seen Tokyo Banana for sale anywhere in Bangkok, not even at the Japanese grocery stores like Fuji Super or Don Don Donki. If you're craving that exact texture and custard filling, you're better off asking a friend to bring some back from Narita. The Japanese bakeries here like Hokkaido Baked Cheese Tart or LeTAO sell different but equally good soft sponge cake treats if you need a substitute.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
