if youre near silom, Soi 20 has a tiny shop called Baan Celadon that's been around for decades. they source directly from villages in Chiang Mai and the owner can tell you which family fired each piece. prices are maybe 200-800 baht depending on size, and theyre not tourist marked up like some places on Khao San

The Bangkok Flower Market at Pak Khlong Talat has a few small ceramic stalls run by families from Ratchaburi province, which is known for its clay. Prices are lower than Chatuchak because they're wholesalers, but they will sell you one piece if you ask. Walk toward the back where the fresh flowers thin out, you'll see the pottery stacked up.

honestly go check out Thonburi along the Chao Phraya river. there's a few family-run shops near Wang Lang market that have been making ceramics for generations. the kilns are right there in the backyard sometimes. take the orange flag boat to Wang Lang pier and walk toward the back alleys. you'll see small signs in Thai for "kong din" or just follow the sound of clay being worked. prices are fair and they'll tell you which village their clay came from.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
