Recommended Tattoo Artists/Shops?

Hi all, spending December in the Silom area and would like to add a couple small tattoos - anybody have recommendations for artists (preferably near Silom, but willing to travel!)? Silom isn't really the tattoo hub of Bangkok, you'll want to head over to Ari or around Khao San for the better shops. I'd check out Black Pig Tattoo in Ari, they do really clean fine line work and a lot of artists there speak English well. Small pieces will run you around 2,000-4,000 baht depending on detail. Just book ahead on Line, walk-ins are possible but December gets busy.

You might want to look at Tattoo Studio Bangkok on Sukhumvit 39, about a 15 minute taxi from Silom. Their artists have a wide range of styles and I've seen some really crisp line work come out of there. For smaller pieces, you can often get same day appointments if you go early in the day, but booking through their Line account is more reliable during tourist season. The pricing is fair and they're upfront about it, no haggling needed.

If you're in Silom, All Day Tattoo on Sathorn Soi 12 is worth a look. They do solid work and are used to walk-ins, though December might mean a wait. For something more unique, check out Ink Inc. in Ekkamai, about a 20 minute BTS ride. They specialize in custom single needle work that holds up well over time.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
