Is Erawan station good?

I mean for short term living, cost of rent, easy to go around or you guys suggest move up a bit like on-nut, I find that rent at Erawan station is around 8-9k/m so it seem good. 8-9k at Erawan is a good deal for a newer building, but you're right at the end of the BTS Sukhumvit line. The trade-off is time versus space - you'll get a bigger room for that price than you would at On Nut, but you're looking at an extra 15-20 minutes each way to central Bangkok. On Nut has way more going on locally with the market and Big C right there, while Erawan is mostly just housing and a few local shops. If you work near Bang Na or the BITEC area, Erawan makes perfect sense, otherwise On Nut is the better bet for daily convenience.

honestly 8-9k for erawan is decent but you're basically at the end of the bts line so getting into the city takes forever. the station itself is fine, quiet area, but you'll be spending 45-60 mins just to reach siam or asok.

on-nut is way more convenient for the same price range, way more food stalls and markets around too. if you don't mind the commute and want a chill neighborhood erawan works, but on-nut gives you better value for getting around imo

best som tam in Bangkok? Krua Dok Mai Kao 2026

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
