I have three days in Bangkok; what should I do? I'm looking for places to eat, including Michelin-rated options, good speakeasies, cafes, and affordable spas. I'm interested in suggestions for places like the Louis Vuitton Café and Jodd Fairs, but I'm skipping Khao San Road and most of the Temples? Which one of all the temples would you recommend as a must-visit?

I'll be staying in Ratchathewi, close to Siam. Is it a good location?

Thanks in advance!

yeah ratchathewi is great for getting around, you're right next to the bts and can walk to siam in like 10 mins if you're up for it

for temples, wat arun at sunset is the move imo, less crowded than the grand palace and the light hits the porcelain tiles in a way that looks unreal. get there around 4, take the ferry across from tha tian, then wander the riverfront after

for michelin stuff, jay fai is overrated and a 3 hour wait, skip it. instead go to thipsamai for pad thai wrapped in an egg net, or err wat arun for their boat noodles which are legit and have a bib gourmand. speakeasy wise, teens of thailand near thong lo is a fun hidden spot with weird cocktails like the one with tom yum flavors. for a cheap spa, health land on sukhumvit is reliable for a 2 hour thai massage for like 500 baht, book ahead

jodd fairs is fine for a quick stroll but the food is pricey for what it is, i'd rather spend an evening in yaowarat for the street eats and vibes. the louis vuitton cafe is pretty but the coffee is average, go for the instagram photos not the taste

honestly for 3 days i'd carve out one full evening for yaowarat, just walk from the corner of charoen krung and yaowarat road around 6pm, the whole street lights up and you can hop between stalls for grilled seafood, mango sticky rice, and those little oyster omelets. way better vibe than jodd fairs which feels like a mall food court outside

for a temple, wat suthat is my pick, the big red swing out front is iconic and inside is calm enough to actually sit and breathe for a minute. it's a bit north but worth the taxi ride, maybe 70 baht from your area

speakeasy wise, find the iron balti on sukhumvit 24, it's behind a metal door in a little alley and they do a smoked old fashioned that's prob the best cocktail i've had in bkk. for affordable spa, once upon a thai on sathorn does a 90 minute oil massage for like 600 baht, not fancy but solid

the louis vuitton cafe is fine if you want photos but the coffee is meh and the wait can be annoying, i'd rather sit at rong si for their khao soi and iced thai tea for a fraction of the price

Ratchathewi is a solid spot, super central and easy to hop on the BTS or walk to Siam for shopping and cafes.

For temples, skip the crowds and hit Wat Saket (the Golden Mount) instead of Wat Pho or the Grand Palace, it's quieter and has great views from the top.

For food, try the street stalls around Yaowarat (Chinatown) at night, and Rongsi Pochana is a cheap Michelin Bib Gourmand spot nearby. Speakeasy-wise, Rabbit Hole near Sukhumvit is a cozy find,

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
