ngl i've only ever seen putu piring at the malaysian food stalls in the basement of centralworld during their occasional food fairs. there's also a small stall in the soi 11 area near nana that does malaysian desserts on weekends, but it's hit or miss. if you're desperate you could try making it yourself with a putu piring mold from the little india shops along soi 11, they sell them for like 40 baht

honestly putu piring is pretty rare here even in the malaysian indian areas. your best bet is probably the little india area around phra ram 9 they have some stalls that do malaysian style kueh but not always consistent. i've seen it at the food court in robinson's siam paragon but it's more of a weekend thing and they call it "putri piring" there. if you're really craving just the pandan and coconut flavor you could try the thai version "khao tom mad" which is similar but wrapped in banana leaf instead

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
