Hi everyone!

I'm looking to do a bit of shopping and wondering if you could recommend good locations to buy most (or all) of the following items around Bangkok:

• Thai tea • Inhalers • Yeezys • AF1 (Brown) • Leather sandals • Tank tops (x2) • Tiger balm • Red chili • Curry powder • Kaffir lime leaves • Linen top • Linen hippie pants • Linen shorts (x2) • Wood carving • Matching elephant pants • Sarong • Hammocks (x2) • Homemade kitchen knife Looking for suggestions on local markets, stores, or areas where I can find quality products. Any help is much appreciated!

Thanks in advance 🙏

chatuchak weekend market for most of the clothes, spices, and random stuff like the wood carving and hammocks. for the yeezys and af1s you'll probably have better luck at mbk center or one of those sneaker shops on siam square.

for the tiger balm and inhalers just hit up any 7-eleven or bootas pharmacy, theyre everywhere and way cheaper than the tourist stalls. if you want a proper handmade knife try talat noi like the other person said but also check out the knife shop on charoen krung soi 22, old guy there makes them from truck springs, been around forever

honestly for the kitchen knife hit up the old town area around bang rak or talat noi, there's a few older shops that sell handmade blades, not the touristy stuff. for the spices and curry powder, yaowarat road in chinatown is way better than chatuchak imo, the dried goods shops there have proper kaffir lime leaves and fresh chili too. the yeezys and af1s you'll find at the replica stalls in platinum fashion mall, just be ready to bargain hard, they start high. for the linen stuff and elephant pants, try khao san road's side sois rather than the main strip, the quality is actually better and cheaper, like 200 baht for a sarong vs 400 on the main road.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
