I know there's no official parkrun but are there any weekly 5k runs taking place here? Need to get fit after all the delicious food 😜😜😜.

there's the hash house harriers scene here if u want something more social than a race. they do weekly runs around bangkok, usually 4-6k, followed by beers and food. check out bangkok hash house harriers on fb, they meet at different spots each week. not a timed 5k but definitely a workout and u get to see parts of the city u wouldn't otherwise

the adidas runners bangkok group does a free 5k every sunday morning at centralworld, meetup is around 6am by the main entrance. it's more structured than the park runs with pacers and a proper warmup, plus they sometimes have guest coaches. after the run u can grab breakfast at the food court downstairs, win win

honestly the best consistent weekly 5k is the "bangkok 5k" at suan luang rama 9 park on sunday mornings. it's organized by a small running club, starts around 6am near the main entrance. 50 baht entry, timing chip and water included. the park's massive and way less crowded than lumpini or benjakitti, feels more like a proper trail run through the trees

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
