I know i can meet people at ranges but they are mostly just tourists trying it out for the sake of an activity.

But otherwise If you have any favorite ranges or recommendations, please share!

honestly the serious shooters here tend to hang at the Navy range in Sattahip if you're up for the drive. it's a bit far from central Bangkok but way less touristy and they have proper steel targets out past 25m. the indoor ranges in town like the one on Ratchadaphisek are fine for basic practice but you'll mostly get the rental crowd there

for something closer, try the Shooting Range at the Royal Thai Army Sports Center near Rangsit. it's more of a local spot, cheaper too, around 300 baht for a lane. just bring your own gear or rent their basic stuff, the staff are actual shooters not just counter staff

The old range on Vibhavadi Rangsit near the army base is pretty solid, not fancy but you'll find regulars there who actually bring their own pistols and rifles. It's a bit of a hike from central Bangkok but the crowd is way more into it than the tourist traps.

yeah the navy range is legit but if you're in the city try the gun club at the foreign correspondents club area its more members only vibes and people actually know their stuff

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
