I was thinking about going over to Fortune town to see if I could find one. I'd really like to take a look and hold it before I actually buy. I see some online for sale, but I would rather do a physical purchase. Let me know if you've seen them out in the wild here. Looking for the OLED version.

honestly just go to fortune town, third floor near the escalators there's a couple shops that carry them. i saw the oled version at a place called JEDirect or something similar, they had it on display last week. you can hold it and test the weight which is nice

if fortune town doesn't work, try the steam deck facebook groups here, lots of guys sell theirs after a month or two. you can meet up at a mall to check it out first. i see the 512gb oled go for around 19-20k baht used which is decent

one thing nobody mentions - the asian version has a different charger plug but it's fine with any usb-c. just check the box for the regional model before you pay

yeah fortune town's your best bet, third floor has a few stalls that stock them. i'd also check out the second floor at zeer rangnam, there's a little electronics shop near the back that sometimes has em, they let you mess with the display unit for a bit

if you're set on oled and wanna avoid the hunt, you can order through shopee from a seller called mrdiy or something like that, they're legit and do cash on delivery so you can inspect before paying the rider. just make sure the listing says "oled 512gb" not the lcd one, seen people get burned on that

You can also check out the small gaming shops on the ground floor of MBK, near the Pantip entrance. I saw a couple of OLED models at a stall called IT Gadget or something similar, they had them behind glass but the guy let me hold one after I asked. Just be ready to haggle a bit, they usually quote 21k baht for the 512gb OLED but you can talk them down to 20k if you pay cash.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
