AirArabia experiences?

Do you have any experience flying with AirArabia? I saw some reviews and it does not seem good. :D I would fly from Vienna to Bangkok with a stop in Istanbul. Thank you. honestly i've used airarabia a few times to get to bangkok from the middle east and it's fine for what it is. the vienna to istanbul leg might be on a codeshare with turkish airlines actually so that part could be decent. the main thing is their baggage policy is super strict and if you're transiting through istanbul you'll have to re-check your bags which is a pain at sabiha gokcen airport. i'd rather pay a bit more for turkish airlines direct from vienna if i could, the layover in istanbul airport is way nicer than dealing with sabiha's chaos

flew them once from dubai to bangkok and it was fine, seats are tight but it's a budget airline so no surprises there. the vienna to istanbul part will be on a regular turkish airlines plane since airarabia doesn't fly out of vienna, so that leg is actually pretty good. just be ready for the chaos at sabiha gokcen when you land, it's a completely different vibe from the main istanbul airport and the transfer there can be rough if you're not used to it

Yeah the main issue is Sabiha Gokcen airport. That place is a zoo compared to the main Istanbul airport and the transfer there can be really exhausting after a long flight.

best som tam in Bangkok? Krua Dok Mai Kao 2026

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
