the foreign film archive at salaya has monthly screenings of old classics, both thai and international, and it's free but u need to reserve ahead. also check out doc club thailand, they do pop-up screenings of vintage documentaries around the city, usually at bars or galleries for like 200 baht. i saw a 60s japanese film at one of their events last month

House Samyan on Rama IV has a small screening room that runs older films, usually Thai classics and indie retrospectives. Tickets are around 100 baht and they list their schedule on Facebook a few weeks ahead. I've caught a 70s Thai horror film there that never got a proper re-release.

Apex in Siam Square sometimes sneaks older films into their schedule between new releases, especially on weekday afternoons when screens are emptier. I've seen The Godfather and a few Wong Kar-wai movies there over the years. Their website has a full monthly schedule if you scroll past the blockbusters.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
