I don't want to take any classes, as I know how to DJ already and I've been DJing and producing music for a couple of years now, just want to know if there's a place that works like Pirate Studios in London or something similar? Thanks!

honestly there's nothing exactly like Pirate Studios here but you might wanna check out SoundBox near Ekkamai. they rent rooms by the hour with CDJs and a mixer, prob around 300-400 baht per hour depending on the room. it's a small spot but people film sets there all the time, just ask the owner first if u wanna record

another option is Jam Factory in Ari, they have a proper studio space with Pioneer gear and it's a bit more chill about filming if you book longer sessions. just message them on Line to check availability, they're pretty responsive

Check out the rooftop at Studio Neo in Thonglor, they have a booth setup you can book for a few hours at a time. Fair warning though the AC is weak up there so bring a fan if you're staying long.

try hitting up Studio 28 in the Talat Noi area, they have a solid setup with CDJ-3000s and it's not as pricey as some other spots. saw a few people filming there last month, owner is cool with it if you're not blasting it late

best som tam in Bangkok? Krua Dok Mai Kao 2026

Their som tam is prob the most authentic I've found in the city, and the grilled chicken is always on point. Anyone else go here?

Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but I've always found their som tam a bit tame on the pla ra. If you want the real funky version, try the shophouse spots along Soi Udomsuk 26, near the night market end. They pound it fresh with fermented fish that'll clear your sinuses, and it's like 60 baht. Different style from the On Nut places, more Lao-leaning.

for som tam specifically i'd say the Isaan spots in Chatuchak are underrated, weekdays only though since the weekend crowd ruins the vibe. there's a stall near gate 2 that does tam pa with fermented bamboo shoots, super sour and funky, not something you see much in On Nut. if you're already heading north for Or Tor Kor anyway its worth the detour.

honestly the som tam at Krua Dok Mai Kao is good but what got me hooked is their nam prik pla raa dip with the raw veggies, that funk hits way harder than the papaya does. think most people sleep on it cuz they just order the som tam and gai yang. also pro tip, go before noon on weekdays, after that teh pla ra gets milder cuz they batch it for the lunch rush
