UFO, Fighter Jet or Meteor?

So this sounds crazy. I was taking a very early morning swim approximately at 3 12 am. I was swimming in the back stroke position when I noticed a strange glow of light ( like a blob) whiz past the sk… So this sounds crazy. I was taking a very early morning swim approximately at 3 12 am. I was swimming in the back stroke position when I noticed a strange glow of light ( like a blob) whiz past the sky at super speed. It didn't make any sound so I don't think it could have been a fighter jet (the blob was really fast). The sky is hazy, so if it was a meteor or shooting star I'm not so sure it would be visibly. There are no laser shows near me even if someone was posting a laser, it would have casted on my condo, but it just went past it really fast. Now I'm not putting on my tin foil hat. But it's really quite strange. Thought I would share. ( This happened 15 mins ago as of writing this.)

It's not crazy, that stretch around 3am is when the sky really opens up here because the ground noise drops off. If you were swimming facing north or east, you might have caught a satellite catching the sun just right before it dips into the shadow. I've seen the ISS do that from a rooftop in Thonglor, looked exactly like a silent glowing blob moving way too fast for a plane. The haze actually helps with that, it scatters the light and makes it look bigger than it is.

honestly 3am in bangkok is that weird time where everything feels off. if you were looking northeast towards the airport route, could've been a cargo plane landing lights reflecting off the haze layer, they come in real low and silent from that angle. but you said no sound and super speed, so maybe not. there's a bunch of amateur astro groups that meet near bang krachao sometimes, could be someone testing gear with a high-powered laser pointer, those things look insane from a distance. either way, next time snap a video if you can, your phone's night mode might pick up more than your eyes did

ngl that sounds wild but also kind of bangkok normal at 3am. if you're near sukhumvit, there's often weird light reflections off the bts tracks or construction cranes that mess with your depth perception. could also be a firefly swarm or a drone with a bright mod, those are getting popular with videographers around the river. still, 3:12am is prime weird hours, i'd check the sky again same time tomorrow if you're curious

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
