Does anyone have any experience with shipping pets to America from Bangkok?

My kids have a few sugar gliders they got in Thailand and we want to ship them to America.

We don't have any documentation to go along with them.

You might have better luck checking with the USDA-accredited vets in Bangkok who handle export health certificates. They usually know which shipping agents are legit for unusual pets, even without paperwork. Try the Animal Quarantine Station at Suvarnabhumi, they can point you to someone who specializes in exotic animals.

tbh the biggest issue isn't even finding a shipper, it's that US customs is super strict about sugar gliders. they're not on the usual pet list so you'd need a CDC or USDA permit to import them. without any docs from Thailand that's gonna be a nightmare. maybe reach out to Thai Airways cargo, they do live animal shipping and might have contacts who know the loopholes better than general pet movers

i mean without papers you're basically asking someone to smuggle them which is a whole other thing. maybe check if they even let sugar gliders into the us at all first

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
