I really enjoy Fantasy Football. This is American football. I am considering creating a league and wanted to see if there would be any interest?

I would create the league and be the commissioner year 1 on Yahoo. It would be half PPR. The positions being QB, 2 WR, 2 RB, Flex, TE, Kicker and Defense. Six points for TDs. Otherwise default Yahoo scoring.

I really need to find nine or more others that are interested in playing as I think the minimum for a league would be 10. Would consider with 8 or 9.

Not sure about what you get if you win. I rather not make it cost anything to join. One thing for sure you will get if you win the league is bragging rights. I might also offer a smaller cash prize that I would just fund the first year for the league. Say 2,000 baht.

It would be a very low touch commissioner. Trades for example would be voted on by the leagues participants instead of the commissioner having say.

I would also make it a dynasty league. Which means that you will be able to keep one player from the year before. You would get that player the following year in the round you drafted the year before.

So if you drafted LaPorta last year in the 12th round then you would be able to get him this year in the 12th round. If you picked him up off of the wire then you would be able to get him with your last pick. You would only be able to keep one player.

I would look at having the draft the afternoon of September 1st or whatever date works best for the most participants.

Please reply to this if interested or you can message me here on Reddit.

single keeper is fine for a first year, gets people thinking about long term value without overcomplicating it. the 1am kickoff thing is real tho, I've been in a few leagues and the trick is to set your lineup Sunday night before bed and just let it ride. checking waivers at 4am is a vibe killer

if you're serious about finding people, hit up the Bangkok American Football Association page on facebook, they've got a few hundred guys who actually follow the sport. also there's a bar called The Pickled Liver on Soi 11 that does sunday ticket, could prob leave a sign there

I've been in a few Bangkok-based leagues over the years and they tend to fizzle out by week 6 when people realize the 1pm Sunday games here are actually at 1am Monday morning. The Thursday and Monday night games hit at 3am and 6am respectively, so you're mostly checking scores on your phone with a hangover. That said, there's a solid crew that watches games at The Sportsman on Sukhumvit 13 during the early morning slots, especially playoffs. You might find your other nine managers just by putting a flyer up there or posting in the Bangkok Expats Facebook group.

honestly the 2k baht prize is a nice touch for a no-entry league, keeps it fun without pressure. might post in the Thai NFL fans group on fb too, they're pretty active during the season

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
