fwiw i think u should try somtam nua on siam square one, they have a lot of different som tam dishes and its pretty cheap, most dishes are around 100 baht, i prefer it over the places on sukhumvit road because its less touristy, honestly the pad thai at thip samai is prob better than anywhere else in bangkok, its on mahachai road and its open till 12 am

ngl you should check out khao gaeng j prost on samyan road, their curries are super good and like 50 baht per dish, way better than those overpriced grab bowls

If you're ordering Grab a lot, check out Baan Somtum on Sukhumvit Soi 14. Their somtam platter with grilled chicken and sticky rice is around 250 baht and feeds two people easily. I'd skip the viral boat noodles places and go to Wattana Panich for their beef noodle soup instead, it's been simmering for over 40 years and the broth is incredible.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
