From Serbia you get 30 days visa exempt at the airport, so the simplest route is to fly to somewhere like Vientiane or Penang and apply for a 60 day tourist visa at the consulate there. The one in Vientiane is pretty straightforward for Serbians, just bring your passport, two photos, and a copy of your flight itinerary. But before you leave, make sure your employer gives you a termination letter and cancels your work permit at the Labor Department, otherwise immigration might ask questions when you come back in.

You will need to leave Thailand and apply for a tourist visa at a Thai embassy or consulate outside the country, you cannot switch from a work visa to a tourist visa while you are still inside Thailand. Serbian passport holders get visa-free entry for up to 30 days at the airport, so you could fly to a nearby country like Laos or Malaysia, get the tourist visa there, and come back in. Just make sure your work permit is officially cancelled by your employer before you leave, otherwise immigration might flag your record for the next entry.

Yeah you should be fine, just go to immigration after your work permit ends and they'll usually give you a 30 day stamp to sort things out. Then you can either extend that or leave and come back on a tourist visa, but make sure you don't overstay because the fines here are no joke.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
