yeah that BTS to ARL route is solid but there's also the SRT Dark Red line from Bang Sue now if you're up for a longer train ride. from Morchit you can walk to Chatuchak MRT station (it's connected), take one stop to Bang Sue, then the Dark Red line direct to Don Mueang but wait that goes to the wrong airport. my bad. for Suvarnabhumi stick with the BTS to Phaya Thai, the rail link is your best bet and it avoids all that Rama 9 road traffic

one thing nobody mentioned is the airport bus from Morchit 2 bus terminal which is right there. bus number 555 goes from Morchit to Suvarnabhumi, takes the expressway so traffic isn't as bad. costs like 40 baht and runs every 20 mins or so. it's less crowded than the rail link during evening rush too

You could also take the MRT from Chatuchak station (it's a short walk from Morchit) to Phetchaburi, then switch to the Airport Rail Link at Makkasan. It's one more transfer but the MRT is air-conditioned and usually less packed than the BTS at this hour. The whole trip runs you around 70 baht and takes roughly 45 minutes if the trains line up well.

honestly just take the BTS from Morchit to Phaya Thai, then hop on the Airport Rail Link. it's one transfer and super straightforward. the BTS ride is about 20 mins and the rail link another 30 to the airport. total cost is under 100 baht i think, way cheaper than a taxi which can get stuck in traffic for hours this time of day

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
