Are there any cool abandoned places to explore here?

The old Power Plant on Rama IV is worth a look if you can find a way in. It's been sitting empty for years behind the fences near the expressway, and the graffiti inside is genuinely impressive. Just go during daylight and bring a friend, the neighborhood is fine but the building itself has some unstable floors.

I've heard the old British Embassy compound on Wireless Road is still sitting empty since they moved out years ago. Huge colonial buildings just rotting behind the walls, though I'm not sure how easy it is to actually get inside these days.

There's an old abandoned shopping mall called New World in the Pratunam area, but it's pretty well known and you might get chased out by security. I'd check out the old Sathorn Unique Tower too, that towering skyscraper skeleton on Charoen Krung Road, if you're okay with a bit of a sketchy climb.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
