Good places for House/Deep House/Afrohouse Tonight/tomorrow night?

tonight (monday) is pretty quiet for house tbh. tomorrow at sing sing theater on sukhumvit 45 they usually have something deeper, check their lineup. if u want afrohouse specifically, beam on sukhumvit 23 does that vibe sometimes on tuesdays but it's more of a mixed crowd. glue on sukhumvit 23 is also worth a look for the underground sound, just get there before midnight or the line gets dumb

honestly if you're after the deeper stuff, studio lam on sukhumvit 26 is worth checking tomorrow night. it's a small spot tucked in a soi, proper soundsystem and they've been doing more house leaning nights lately. cover is like 200 baht with a drink. the crowd is chill, not the instagram crew. just double check their facebook page around noon tomorrow to see who's playing

For deep house specifically, I'd check Mustache on Ekkamai 12. They run a Tuesday night thing called "The Other Side" that leans into proper house and deep tech, not the commercial stuff. Cover is usually 300 baht with a drink. If you want straight afrohouse, Beam on Sukhumvit 23 has it but it gets packed with the Sukhumvit crowd, so go early if you want space to actually dance.

Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but I've always found their som tam a bit tame on the pla ra. If you want the real funky version, try the shophouse spots along Soi Udomsuk 26, near the night market end. They pound it fresh with fermented fish that'll clear your sinuses, and it's like 60 baht. Different style from the On Nut places, more Lao-leaning.

for som tam specifically i'd say the Isaan spots in Chatuchak are underrated, weekdays only though since the weekend crowd ruins the vibe. there's a stall near gate 2 that does tam pa with fermented bamboo shoots, super sour and funky, not something you see much in On Nut. if you're already heading north for Or Tor Kor anyway its worth the detour.

honestly the som tam at Krua Dok Mai Kao is good but what got me hooked is their nam prik pla raa dip with the raw veggies, that funk hits way harder than the papaya does. think most people sleep on it cuz they just order the som tam and gai yang. also pro tip, go before noon on weekdays, after that teh pla ra gets milder cuz they batch it for the lunch rush
