We're currently in the UK where the NHS waiting lists are insane so we'll be travelling in. Ideally in Bangkok but can be anywhere I guess. Isaan, Chiang Mai etc. Already did a quick search and it seems to be around 120,000 Baht for keyhole surgery.

Thonburi Hospital on Pinklao-Nakhon Chai Si Road is another solid option that doesn't get mentioned much. It's a big private hospital but they still charge like a local place, I've heard of similar laparoscopic procedures there landing around 90k baht. The gynae department is decent and they're used to handling foreign patients. One thing to watch for is they'll try to upsell you on a private room upgrade, the basic ward is fine but you might want to push back if they suggest the VIP suite.

bumrungrad gets all the hype but honestly for non-complicated stuff like this you're paying a premium for the lobby and the coffee shop. try phyathai 2 on sri ayutthaya road, it's where a lot of locals go for gynae stuff, we had a friend do the same op there last year and it was around 80k. just make sure you get a doctor who does laparoscopic regularly, some still push for open surgery if they're older school. and pay cash if you can, card fees add up fast here

For that price range, Bangkok Christian Hospital on Silom Road is worth a look. It's a private hospital but not as flashy as Bumrungrad or Samitivej, so the bills tend to be more reasonable. We had a family member do a similar laparoscopic procedure there a couple years ago and it came in under 100k baht including the surgeon's fee. Just make sure to ask for an itemised quote upfront and check if they'll accept your UK travel insurance or if you'll pay cash.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
