Hi Reddit, I've been on the look-out for a new motorcycle, my preference is a BMW R NineT (model year 2021 till the current year) but since new ones are a lot more expensive here in Thailand than back… Hi Reddit, I've been on the look-out for a new motorcycle, my preference is a BMW R NineT (model year 2021 till the current year) but since new ones are a lot more expensive here in Thailand than back home, I'm looking for a used model to see if those prices are more manageable.

I have been to multiple BMW dealers around Bangkok and also other brands to compare (Triumph, Ducati, etc.), and to my surprise no one sells used motorcycles. Every dealer mentioned they only sell new stock. Back in Europe a dealer would have some new bikes available, but most of their inventory would always be used, and most of this would be pre-approved by BMW (or whatever brand) themselves, meaning it comes with ~2 years warranty even though it's not new.

So if it's not possible to purchase used bikes through the dealers themselves, where does one purchase a used BMW motorcycle (preferably in good condition with warranty)?

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
