Where to Buy big Clothes?

I'm going to Bangkok for the whole month of September and wanted to use the opportunity to buy clothing there instead of having a big luggage so I can kill 2 birds with 1 stone.

It seems that the consensus though is that Thailand doesn't really cater to bigger sizes, I've seen tiktoks but they only talk about women sizes.

I'm a male, 184cm and 100kg, muscular.

As I know thailand has alot of bodybuilder I'm interested in where I could find cool clothing for my size. I'm a 4XL for shirts and idk my pants size but I would appreciate it!

ngl the bodybuilder thing is real but most of them get their stuff tailored or order online. if you're gonna be here a month you could actually get some custom shirts made at a place like tailor on 10 near sukhumvit soi 10, they do good work with thicker fabrics that won't rip at the seams. takes like 3 days and costs around 1500 baht per shirt which is decent for something that fits perfect

for off the rack stuff theres a shop called "big guys" on rama 4 road near the lumphini mrt exit, they specifically stock for larger frames and have some cool graphic tees and linen shirts that breathe well in the heat. their pants sizing is more consistent too cause they use actual waist measurements not that s-m-l nonsense

one thing nobody mentioned is the fabric quality, a lot of the cheap stuff at markets is thin and will show sweat stains bad during september which is still rainy season. stick to cotton blends or thicker knits

yeah 184/100 is fine tbh, you're not gonna struggle as much as you think. for cool stuff check out the stores along sukhumvit soi 63 (ekkamai) there's a few boutiques that carry japanese and korean imports which run bigger and look better on muscular frames. there's one called "carnival" near the bts that has streetwear brands in extended sizes

for pants your best bet is actually pratunam market early morning, the stalls near the indra square entrance have a section for bigger guys with elastic waist chinos and cargo pants that actually fit. just negotiate hard they start at like 800 baht but you can get em down to 400-500

watch out with the sizing labels though, a lot of thai "4xl" is really just a loose 2xl. always try before you buy especially for shoulders and chest

honestly you'll be fine at 184/100, that's not even that big for thai standards. 4XL is prob a bit generous for your build but you'll find stuff at MBK or Platinum Mall for sure. the bodybuilder types usually shop at the weekend market or those random stalls near Lumpini Park where they sell gym gear

if you want actual cool stuff check out the stores in Siam Square that stock Japanese brands, they run bigger and have better cuts for muscular guys. there's a shop called Siam Style or something on the second floor that has decent oversized tees. pants might be trickier but Uniqlo in Siam Paragon has stretch chinos that work for bigger thighs

also fyi most thai 4XL is more like a western 2XL so size up if you can. try stuff on before buying

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
