honestly try Velvet Hair Studio on Ekkamai Soi 10. they have actual private rooms not just curtains which is nice if you want quiet. most of their colorists are women and i've had good results with Ploy there. prices are a bit steeper around 4k to 6k for full color but they use Olaplex in the process so your hair doesn't fry. booking via Line is def the move since walkins rarely work out.
ngl i'd skip the Sukhumvit area altogether and head to Siam Square instead. try Blossom Hair at Siam Square Soi 3, they have these cute little rooms with actual doors and soundproofing so it's super chill. most of the stylists are women and i go to Pim who's amazing at turning brassy hair into a cool ash tone without that greenish undertone. prices are fair at 2,800 to 4,500 for full color and they use Schwarzkopf products which i prefer over some of the pricier brands tbh
fwiw there's also Salon Koko on Thonglor Soi 13, they have proper private rooms with doors that close all the way. most of their color team is female and the owner is a woman too which is kinda nice. i get my roots done by Fah there and she's super meticulous about sectioning, prices are midrange around 2,500 to 4,000 for a full color. their Line response time is pretty fast if you message in Thai but they also answer in english if you ask
best som tam in Bangkok? Krua Dok Mai Kao 2026
yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
