if you want something a bit different, try gallery drip coffee near bts phrom phong. it's inside a small art space so you can look at paintings while you sip, which is nice. they do a single-origin thai bean from doi chang that's super floral, like jasmine and honey. prices are decent too, around 120 baht for a pour-over

tbh I'd pick Kaizen in Ari over most places. it's this tiny spot on Soi Ari 2 that does Japanese-style pour-overs, real precise. the owner used to work at a roastery in Tokyo and you can tell. their house blend is light and fruity, nothing like the dark roasts most places here push

honestly my go-to is Root Island near Thong Lo. it's tucked away in a little soi off Sukhumvit 55, easy to miss. they roast their own beans and the cold brew is prob the smoothest I've had in Bangkok, plus the space is super chill with plants everywhere

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
