How does the new law affect iHerb orders these days? It looks like they are charging 15% tax total. Should I still keep the order around 1500THB if I want to avoid having to go through the process of going to customs office to retrieve my package?

It reads like the tax should be just 7% of total, but from my experience even if the order is below 1500 THB, they charge about 14%. Has anyone else noticed this?
The 14% you're seeing is probably the 7% VAT plus the 7% import duty that iHerb bundles in for orders over 1,500 THB. For orders under that threshold, it should just be the 7% VAT, so double check your cart total versus what they're actually charging. I've had a few packages come through since the change and the pre-paid tax means they just get dropped at my door by Kerry or Flash, no trips to that customs office on Lad Krabang. You're safe to go a bit bigger than 1,500 THB now without worrying about the paperwork hassle, though I'd still keep it reasonable since EMS or DHL might flag a massive box anyway.
