Just saw this video with the bees swarm in around this Thai dessert. I've heard this is 1-1.5 hrs drive from Bangkok but is there a similar one in Bangkok itself? You're thinking of roti sai mai with the bee swarm show, which is a specific thing at a few places outside the city. The most famous one is in Samut Songkhram, about 1.5 hours southwest, where they actually let bees land on the fresh honeycomb they serve alongside the cotton candy crepe. Inside Bangkok, you won't find the live bee experience at any dessert shop I know of, but a few spots like the old town stalls near Khao San serve a solid roti sai mai with real honey drizzle if you ask. For the full bee swarm spectacle, you'll need to make that drive to places like Talat Nam Tha Kha or the roadside vendors on Rama II Road heading out of town.

i mean if u really want the bee experience youd have to go outside the city but there's a place near bang khun thian that does honeycomb on roti sai mai with bees flying around the stall just not the full swarm show like the viral video

Yeah, the bee thing isn't really a Bangkok city thing. You might find roti sai mai with honey at a few markets like Chatuchak, but the whole live bee spectacle is strictly out in the countryside.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
