Recommendations please! Best places to buy furniture in Bangkok? 🫶

Would adore any help finding where the best spots for unique furniture might be and just other peoples favorites/go to for furniture!

For modern Thai furniture brands that aren't just copy shops, check out Deesawat in the Ekkamai area. They do solid teak pieces with clean lines that actually hold up in the humidity. Also worth a visit is Yarnnakarn on Rama 4, they make concrete and wood furniture that feels more like art pieces. If you need a quick fix for smaller stuff like side tables or shelving, Index Living Mall has better quality than IKEA for similar prices and they deliver same week.

if you want unique stuff without paying chatuchak tourist prices check out the furniture floors at seacon square or the crystal design center on pracha uthit road. for really custom pieces there's a whole lane of workshops off suk soi 71 where they'll copy any design u bring in for half the price of showrooms. also worth hitting up the weekend antique section at nana market on saturday mornings, found a solid teak cabinet there for 3000 baht

The Rot Fai Market at Srinakarin is worth the trip out east. It's mostly vintage and industrial stuff but there's a whole section of dealers who bring in reclaimed teak and repurposed pieces that you won't see anywhere else. Go on a Friday evening when it's cooler and grab some street food while you browse. Prices are negotiable but fairer than Chatuchak in my experience.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
