I saw some posts from a few uears ago about ProCorner at Fortune Town and apparently the guy speaks fluent English?

ProCorner's fine if you want someone who speaks English well, but they're not the cheapest in Fortune Town. The smaller stalls on the same floor will do the job for less if you're patient explaining the problem. If you're out this way, there's also a shop called IT City on the ground floor at Seacon Square that does quick diagnostics for free, though they'll try to sell you a new laptop if the repair seems tricky.

yeah fortune town's solid but if ur near siam area, check out mbk center too - the 4th floor has a bunch of laptop repair shops and they're pretty used to tourists. just avoid the ones near the entrance, they tend to overcharge

Fortune Town is still your best bet, the third floor has a whole row of repair stalls and most of them deal with English speakers regularly. ProCorner is still there but honestly I'd just walk around and compare quotes first, prices vary by like 200-400 baht between shops for the same job. If you're closer to Sukhumvit, there's a decent place called Notebook Service on Soi 23 that's been around forever and charges flat rates rather than trying to upsell you on parts you don't need.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
