My very cute but very naughty puppy somehow managed to crack the upper corner of my HP Pavilion screen, and now I'm going to need to replace it (the screen, not the dog).

Any recommendations for the most dependable place to go for an HP laptop screen replacement? It's a few years old now, maybe three. Would this be a situation where I should take it to the actual HP repair center? I bought it in China and I do believe it's past warranty.

Pantip Plaza is the classic recommendation but honestly the shops there can be hit or miss with parts quality. I'd suggest heading to Zeer Rangsit instead, it's a bit of a trek but the IT plaza there has fewer tourists and more established repair shops that actually know what they're doing with HP hardware. Expect around 2,000 baht for a genuine grade screen and they'll usually do it in a couple hours while you grab food at the food court downstairs.

fortune town is prob your best bet, third floor has a bunch of little shops that do screen swaps. should be like 1500-2500 baht depending on the model, way cheaper than hp

HP repair center will probably charge more than the laptop is worth at this point. Try Fortune Town or Pantip Plaza if you want a decent price.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
