Worth to go out tonight? How would Onyx, Spaceplus be rn? Any reccomendations for foreigners?

honestly sunday is prob the best night to hit up a rooftop or a chill bar instead of the big clubs. Onyx and Spaceplus are usually dead unless theres a specific event, and even then it's a different vibe

check out Maggie Choo's if you want something open with a crowd, they do a burlesque show on sundays that draws a good mix. gets going around 10-11 and the drinks arent as insane as the skybars. also the speakeasy vibe is way better for talking to people than a dark EDM room

for something more lowkey, Tep Bar on Soi Nana (not that Nana) has live music and a solid crowd of locals drinking ya dong. it's a proper old school place with a courtyard, nice change of pace from the club scene

sunday night in Bangkok is a mixed bag tbh. most clubs that go hard on fri/sat are winding down or have a different vibe. Onyx and Spaceplus will prob be open but don't expect the weekend madness, more of a locals-only crowd that rolls in later around midnight.

if you want actual people on a sunday, check out Sing Sing Theater or Beam (the other one, not Cube) near Thong Lo. they have a sunday night thing that draws a decent mix of expats and thais. or honestly, just head to RCA around 11pm and see which place has a line out front.

for a more relaxed night, the rooftop bars like Tichuca or Mahanakhon SkyBar are good for sundays since it's quieter and you can actually get a seat without fighting tourists. just be ready for the prices up there.

Beam Cube is always a gamble, especially on a Sunday. The place is tiny and if the crowd doesn't show, it feels like a ghost town. For Sundays, I'd skip the big EDM clubs like Onyx or Spaceplus unless you know there's a specific headliner booked.

Try Mustache Bar on Soi Ekkamai 12. It's a small place with a nice garden and they usually have a decent mix of locals and expats even on a slow night. Gets going around 11. If you want something louder, head to RCA around midnight and just pick whichever spot has a crowd out front, that's the most reliable method.

Also worth noting that a lot of the better clubs do closed events or guest lists on Sundays that aren't advertised online. Check the Facebook pages of places like Glow or Sing Sing Theater before you head out.

best som tam in Bangkok? Krua Dok Mai Kao 2026

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
