What's the Quantity of liquids you can carry through BKK airport ?

I'm a new and inexperienced traveler and it would be my first time ever flying alone through Bkk airport. I have 2 bottles of perfumes in my hand luggage. One is 50 ml and the other is 100 ml. Will I… I'm a new and inexperienced traveler and it would be my first time ever flying alone through Bkk airport. I have 2 bottles of perfumes in my hand luggage. One is 50 ml and the other is 100 ml. Will I be able to get past security with these or should I rather put them in my check in bag, just scared of the bottles breaking though. Thanks

the 100ml is a no-go for carry-on, bkk security measures it exactly at the mouth of the bottle so they'll flag it. for check-in, put it in a ziplock bag inside a sock then wrap that in a t-shirt in the middle of your suitcase. perfume bottles are tougher than you think, and the pressure in the cargo hold is fine. if you're really worried, those bubble wrap envelopes at the post office near the airport link station at phaya thai cost like 20 baht

yeah you'll have to check that 100ml one unfortunately. bkk follows the standard rule where each container must be 100ml or less, so the 50ml is fine but the 100ml bottle won't pass hand luggage security. they're strict about it too, i've seen them toss stuff at the screening point near the domestic gates.

wrap the 100ml bottle in a plastic bag and put it in the center of your check-in bag, surrounded by clothes. perfume bottles rarely break in checked luggage if they're cushioned well, i've flown with them dozens of times from bkk without issues.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
