anywhere in bangkok can still find 3D face printing in glass cubes?

anyone know where in thailand i can still get this?

MBK used to have it. Post covid i cannot find it.

i think ur best bet is checking out the weekend markets, chatuchak specifically. there's a few stalls near section 24 that do custom laser engraving and sometimes 3d face stuff. not sure if they do the full glass cube thing tho.

you could also try fortune town, it's like a whole mall for gadgets and odd tech. there's a shop on the 2nd floor near the escalators that does 3d scanning and printing for souvenirs. i saw them doing keychains and stuff last year but not sure about cubes

honestly might be easier to just search for "3d selfie" or "3d portrait" on facebook marketplace bangkok. a lot of those small shops moved online after covid and just do orders through line or messenger

fwiw there's a shop on the ground floor of platinum fashion mall that does it too, tucked behind the food court near the escalators. they quoted me 1200 baht for a 5cm cube last month, but the turnaround was like a week

also if you're willing to go a bit further, there's a spot in the basement of terminal 21 asok that does laser etched glass portraits instead of the full 3d cube, 600 baht and done in 2 hours. not exactly the same but close enough and way cheaper

honestly theres a place in siam square soi 5 that still does it, tiny shop on the second floor above the krungsri atm. they charge like 1500 baht for the small cube and it takes about 3 days

i noticed the mbk spot moved to central world actually, 4th floor near the food court entrance but they only do the mini busts now not the full cube thing

chatuchak is prob ur best bet for the real glass cube style tho, theres a guy near section 8 who does them for 800 baht but u gotta bring ur own photo on a usb drive

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
