I've been assigned some shares for a company about to list on the NASDAQ.

Rather than the hassle of signing up for a personal brokerage account when the time comes to sell, I'd like to engage a trusted local and Thai SEC licensed BKK based stock broker to handle the sale for me.

Any suggestions?

honestly you're overcomplicating this. most local brokers here won't touch a NASDAQ-listed stock because they're licensed for the SET only. you'd need an international broker like Interactive Brokers or Charles Schwab to handle the sale, and they'll ask for your own account anyway.

if you really want a local face, try Maybank Kim Eng or Kiatnakin Phatra's private client desk - they have SEC licenses that cover cross-border stuff sometimes. but expect them to charge 0.5-1% commission and prob require a million baht minimum relationship. easier to just open a brokerage yourself, takes like 15 minutes online these days

yeah the other reply is spot on - most bangkok brokers are SET-only. one thing nobody mentioned though is that some of the big thai banks have private banking arms that can handle this. kasikorn private banking or scb private banking, they have custody agreements with US brokers and can execute a sale for you as a one-off. you'll pay for it though, expect 1-2% all in and they'll want a meeting at their hq on silom road to verify everything

if the shares are already in a US depository like DTC, you might be able to just transfer them to a US broker's thailand desk instead. bloomberg in the emquartier building has a securities services team that deals with this stuff sometimes, worth a call

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
