Any recommendations for Muay Thai gear shops in Bangkok ?

arrow_drop_up 4 arrow_drop_down

If you're after proper quality gear, head to the Super Export Shop on Soi Chula 16 near the national stadium. They stock Fairtex, Twins, and King brands at factory prices, usually 20-30% less than what you'd pay at tourist-focused gyms. The staff there have been running the place for decades and won't try to upsell you on stuff you don't need.

Honestly, if you want the real deal without the tourist markup, hit up the Fairtex shop on Soi On Nut. It's a bit out of the center but they have a proper warehouse with all their pro-line stuff, not just the basic bags and gloves. You can grab a pair of their Muay Thai shorts for like 600 baht there, half what they charge at the mall. Just take the BTS to On Nut and it's a 10 minute walk down the soi.

action zone on rama 4 has a few spots tucked between the gear shops, but the real hidden gem is muay thai factory on soi ekamai 10. they make custom gloves and pads on site, you can literally watch them stitching while you wait. prices start around 1500 for a basic pair but the quality is way better than the mass-produced stuff. just call ahead to check if the owner is around, he sometimes closes early for fights

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
