honestly the scene here is pretty underground, most places are more like private parties than open clubs. if ur new, check out the fetish night at The Studio on Sukhumvit Soi 23, it's a legit venue but the crowd is mixed, some tourists some locals. for something more hardcore, there's a group that runs "The Dungeon" events near Ekkamai, but u gotta get invited thru their facebook page, they vet everyone for safety.

tbh trust is more about the organizers than the venue itself. avoid anything near Nana or cowboy, those are just gimmick bars with a whip on the wall. also, a lot of the serious play happens in private dungeons, so finding a domme or a sub through word of mouth is prob safer than walking into a random club. bring ur own gear too, hygiene standards vary.

fwiw the scene is real but it's all about who u know, not where u go. there's a monthly party called "red room" that pops up at different venues, usually around phrom phong or thong lo, and theyre pretty strict on the no-phones rule which i appreciate. the crowd is mostly working professionals, doctors and lawyers type, so the vibe is respectful.

one thing nobody mentioned yet, the language barrier can be an issue if u dont speak thai. a lot of the local events are run in thai only and the facebook groups are mostly thai too. if ur not fluent, stick to the expat-run stuff or bring a thai friend who's in the scene. also, tipping culture is different here, dont tip the dommes unless they explicitly say so, it can come off as disrespectful.

for gear, there's a shop on sukhumvit soi 4, near the old arab street, sells decent quality stuff but it's overpriced af. better to order from overseas or bring ur own. and always check the playroom rules before u touch anything, some places have a hard no-impact policy on certain days due to noise complaints from neighbors.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
