Best Oyakodon in Bangkok?

As the title says, this is my favourite Japanese dish and was wondering if anyone has had a really good one in the city? As the title says, this is my favourite Japanese dish and was wondering if anyone has had a really good one in the city?

honestly most places in thonglor do it decent but i think the one at akiyoshi in the basement of gateway ekamai is slept on. they do it with a bit of dashi in the eggs so it's not just dry chicken and egg. 145 baht for the set with miso soup, pretty fair for the quality

there's a spot called tenryu near phrom phong that does a killer oyakodon, it's in a lil alley off soi 31. their secret is they use a clay pot for the whole thing so the eggs stay creamy and the bottom gets this nice crispy rice layer. think it's around 200 baht, cash only tho

the place that surprised me most was fuji super's food court in the basement of central world. i know, chain restaurant food court sounds sketchy but their japanese corner does a really solid oyakodon with that slightly caramelized onion thing going on. 99 baht and you can add a raw egg for 10 more if you want that extra richness. not as fancy as the thonglor spots but for the price it holds up

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
