head to chinatown on yaowarat road, the little gold shops along there sell loose chains by weight and they'll attach a clasp for u on the spot. for a simple steel or silver chain without any markup, go to mbk center's 4th floor, tons of jewelry supply stalls near the escalators that sell thin chains for like 100-200 baht. just ask for a "sai so" and they'll know what u mean

tbh i'd skip the tourist spots and hit up chatuchak weekend market if you can wait. there's a whole row of jewelry supply shops in section 3 near the antique zone, they sell loose chains and clasps by the meter. i got a silver one for 150 baht there and they crimped the clasp on while i waited. just make sure you go before 3pm or they start packing up

yeah mbk is solid but if you're already around silom, check out the little stalls inside patpong night market during the day. there's a couple old ladies who sell just loose chains and clasps, way cheaper than the mall tbh. i got a thin stainless one for like 80 baht there

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
