Where can I find Nam Kow Todd (crispy rice pork salad) in Bangkok?

I was looking everywhere for Nam Kow Todd (crispy rice pork salad) in Bangkok but I couldn't find it. Its my favorite Thai Issan dish in America and I'd suggest anyone who hasn't tried it to try it.… I was looking everywhere for Nam Kow Todd (crispy rice pork salad) in Bangkok but I couldn't find it. I see a lot of places selling other Issan dishes, but never see Nam Kow Todd. Is there a place you know in BKK that makes good Nam Kow Todd?

if you're around silom, pop into somtum der on soi sala daeng 1. they have it on the regular menu, not just a secret ask. i think it's like 120 baht, the rice is properly crunchy and they don't skimp on the pork. the fermented sausage there is also worth grabbing while u wait

honestly the best nam kow todd ive had is from this tiny spot called khao gaeng jinda near sam yan. its primarily a rice curry place but the auntie there makes an insane version on weekends. 50 baht and she piles on the crispy rice bits with extra pork crackling if you ask nicely. the sourness from the lime is spot on too. just get there before 11am or it sells out fast

yeah its surprisingly hard to find considering how common other lao/isaan dishes are. try zaab eli on sukhumvit soi 11, they do a really good version with extra crispy rice bits and the right amount of sour. its a bit pricier than street food (around 250 baht) but the portion is generous and they nail the texture

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
