I'm looking for a place anywhere in Thailand that treats dry eye disease. Does anyone know of a place or anywhere where I could ask or search?

Trying google is showing me english websites for clinics in Bangkok but I'm wondering if there are local clinics in Thailand which are a lot cheaper which I'm unable to find via google.

Thanks!

Rutnin is the obvious choice but for a different angle, try the dry eye clinic at Siriraj Hospital. It's a public university hospital so the pricing is government-subsidized, an IPL session there was about 1,200 baht for me last year. The wait is longer and you have to get there by 6am to register, but the doctors are teaching faculty who stay current on protocols.

For something less institutional, check out Dr. Nantawan at Bangkok Eye Center on Asok. She does meibomian gland probing alongside IPL which most places skip. The probing adds about 1,000 baht to the session but it addresses the root cause better than IPL alone.

You could try the dry eye clinic at Bangkok Hospital on Soi Soonvijai. I've been going there for about six months and their IPL setup is solid. A session with the doctor runs around 3,000 baht, but they also have a cheaper option with the nurse for 2,200 if you don't need a full exam each time.

For searching locally, use the Thai term "ตาแห้ง" (taa haeng) in Google Maps instead of English keywords. I found a small clinic called Ruamjai Eye Center off Lat Phrao that way, they do IPL for 1,500 baht per session but only take walk-ins on weekday mornings.

if you're open to going outside bangkok, chiang mai's sriphat eye clinic does IPL for around 1,800 baht per session. their optometrist is trained by a japanese dry eye specialist so the protocol's solid. just book a week ahead, they're popular with locals.

another option is the ophthalmology dept at rama 9 hospital, they have a newer IPL machine and the consult fee is only 200 baht. the catch is you'll sit in the public queue for a couple hours. worth it if you're not in a rush.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
