Looking for a mid price restaurant (around 2500b for two?) that is somewhat a bit fancy and romantic.

Ideally a rooftop restaurant, willing to increase budget a bit for it.

Leaving Bangkok in a few days and would like to splurge a little bit. Italian or thai cuisine that isn't a buffet ideally. (Fine with other type of cuisine also)

Would love some recommendations if you've been to some nice place recently, thank you so much !!

honestly for that budget and vibe i'd check out Above Eleven in Sukhumvit. it's a rooftop with a solid Peruvian-Japanese menu, not strictly italian or thai but the atmosphere is really romantic with the skyline view. portions are decent and you can def stay around 2500-3000b for two if you skip the pricier cocktails.

if you want thai specifically, Saffron at the Banyan Tree is a bit over budget but the tasting menu for two is around 3500b and the view from the 52nd floor is unbeatable. i think it's worth the extra spend for a last night splurge. just book ahead, they fill up fast.

Yeah try Tichuca Rooftop Bar on Sukhumvit, it's more of a casual fancy vibe with a cool tree-shaped bar and Thai fusion food, easy to keep it around 2500b for two if you're careful with drinks. Not super romantic but the atmosphere is lively and the view's great.

For that budget and a rooftop setting, you could try Scarlett Wine Bar & Restaurant in the Pullman G. It's on the 37th floor with a pretty stunning view of the city, and the food is French-influenced rather than Italian or Thai. The atmosphere is dimly lit and feels a bit more grown-up than some of the louder spots. A couple of mains and a glass of wine each should land you around 2500-3000 baht.

If you're set on Italian, I'd skip the rooftop idea and go to L'Oliva in Thonglor instead. It's a small, intimate place with a quiet garden setting, and the pasta is handmade. Two people can eat well for about 2000-2500 baht, leaving room for a nice bottle of wine. It's not flashy but it feels genuinely romantic, and the staff are really attentive.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
