Hi! Quick question here.

I'm ordering something online from lazada. I haven't done this in thailand before.

I'm having trouble finding the correct option for my 'district'. The address of my building is เลข ที่ 21 แยก พึ่ง มี 1 ถนน สุขุมวิท 93 Bang Chak, Phra Khanong, Bangkok 10260. So i'm not mistaken, the correct district is phra khanong, right?

However, I couldn't find phra khanong on the list. I'm wondering if this is supposed to be phra khanong, and it was just spelled wrong.

thanks! Sorry I know this is probably super obvious to locals here, it's just a little confusing doing it for the first time.

Your building is actually in Bang Chak sub-district, which is under Phra Khanong district. On Lazada's dropdown, you'll often see "Bang Chak" listed as a district option because the system sometimes uses sub-district names interchangeably. Check for "Bang Chak" on the list instead of Phra Khanong.

If you still can't find it, select "Phra Khanong Nuea" or "Khlong Tan Nuea" if those appear - delivery drivers in Bangkok know the area well enough to figure it out from the full address. Just make sure your building name and soi number are clearly written in the detailed address field.

yeah you're right that phra khanong is the district but on lazada it's usually listed as พระโขนง in thai script not romanized. if you're using the thai version of the app just type พร ะโขนง or even just พระ and it should pop up. if you're on the english version they sometimes have it as "phra khanong" but i've seen it misspelled as "phrakanong" or "phra khanong" without the space so try variations.

also just a heads up your building address has แยก which means you're on a soi off sukumvit 93 so sometimes the system wants "bang chak" as the sub-district and "phra khanong" as the district. lazada's dropdown can be janky ngl. if all else fails just pick "khet phra khanong" from the list if you see it or manually type the whole address in the notes field for the driver.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
