Both my partner and I have very sensitive skin and everything I've seen in the supermarkets is heavily scented (even the products labeled "organic" or "hypoallergenic"). Appreciate any help! Thanks!

tbh skip the supermarkets entirely. check out the baby sections at Central or Lotus's, they usually have a few fragrance free options like Tollyjoy or Johnson's, but even those can be hit or miss. better yet, hit up the local stores near you that sell Japanese or Korean brands, the Biore U or Attack Zero lines are genuinely unscented and work well in the washing machine. if u want the real fix tho, order from iHerb or Lazada, the ECOS free & clear is my go to, it's cost effective and doesn't leave that weird residue on clothes. another trick is to add a cup of white vinegar to the rinse cycle, it strips out any leftover soap and softens the fabric without smelling after it dries.

honestly the vinegar trick is real but if u want a proper fix try the Japanese section at Don Don Donki, they have a brand called Nanox that's completely scent free and it's not even that expensive. my wife has eczema and it's the only thing she'll use now. also worth checking the 7-Eleven refill stations if there's one near u, some of them carry a plain liquid soap that has zero fragrance but u gotta ask for it, it's not on display.

Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but I've always found their som tam a bit tame on the pla ra. If you want the real funky version, try the shophouse spots along Soi Udomsuk 26, near the night market end. They pound it fresh with fermented fish that'll clear your sinuses, and it's like 60 baht. Different style from the On Nut places, more Lao-leaning.

for som tam specifically i'd say the Isaan spots in Chatuchak are underrated, weekdays only though since the weekend crowd ruins the vibe. there's a stall near gate 2 that does tam pa with fermented bamboo shoots, super sour and funky, not something you see much in On Nut. if you're already heading north for Or Tor Kor anyway its worth the detour.

honestly the som tam at Krua Dok Mai Kao is good but what got me hooked is their nam prik pla raa dip with the raw veggies, that funk hits way harder than the papaya does. think most people sleep on it cuz they just order the som tam and gai yang. also pro tip, go before noon on weekdays, after that teh pla ra gets milder cuz they batch it for the lunch rush
