Hi, can someone suggest me where can I get my iPad battery replaced in Bangkok?

But I'm concerned I might fall victim for scams.

So I need some help on this. Thanks.

honestly if your battery is swollen dont mess around with random stalls at MBK or Pantip. those places can be fine for minor repairs but swollen batteries are a fire risk and some shops will just swap it with a cheap third-party one that might swell again in a few months

i'd go to the Apple Authorized Service Provider at CentralWorld instead, it's on the 4th floor near the BTS skywalk entrance. they charge a flat fee around 2,500 baht for iPad battery service depending on the model, takes about 2-3 hours if they have the part in stock. you can book a slot online beforehand so you dont waste your day waiting around

if you really want to save money and dont mind some risk, the shop called "iCare" at Fortune Town has a decent reputation for genuine parts. it's on the 2nd floor near the food court, ask for the old guy with glasses. but tbh for a swollen battery i'd pay the premium for official service

For a swollen battery specifically, I'd skip the mall repair stalls entirely and check out Studio 7 on Thonglor. They're an independent shop that's been around for years and actually uses proper adhesive and torque specs when resealing iPads. They'll show you the old battery before they throw it away too, which is a good sign.

Their prices run about 1,800 to 2,200 baht for most iPad models, and while it's not as cheap as the random booths at MBK, you're paying for someone who knows not to puncture a swollen lithium cell during removal. Take the BTS to Thonglor, then it's about a 5 minute walk down Soi 55.

if you're set on the mall route, Fortune Town is better than MBK for this specific thing. there's a shop called "Mister Fix" on the 3rd floor near the escalators, they've been there for over a decade and actually test the battery before sealing it up. they charge around 1,500 baht for most iPads but bring cash, they don't take card

one thing nobody mentions - swollen batteries in Bangkok humidity can get worse fast. if you see the screen lifting or hear cracking when you press down, don't even take the BTS with it. grab a taxi straight to wherever you go, keep it in a metal tray or something non-flammable. had a friend's iPad pop in a Grab once and it was not fun

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
