Where/how to meet decent girls in Bangkok?

I (M38) moved to Bangkok from US a couple of years back. I have been fooling around since then. It's been great, lots of fun to be had! It's been great, lots of fun to be had! But at this point, I am looking for something more permanent/serious. I have found that meeting decent girls here is not that easy! I am tall, fairly good looking and fit. Financially I am fine. But online dating is not yielding much. I end up either with working girls, or the ones not that attractive. Bars/clubs also full of working girls, or 'party girls' (they claim they are not working girls, they do not explicitly ask for money for sex, but they live an expensive lifestyle and looking for men to fund it - basically party for living!). I have tried Thong lor/Ekkamai - but find it actually super difficult approaching quality girls there. Seems like for the quality ones, you have to be in their network or connected to it somehow to be considered. What y'all think? Is Bangkok only good for fooling around? If not, how you meet decent girls here?

You're right that the bar and club scene in Thonglor is mostly the same crowd with different labels. The women you're looking for are usually not at those places after 10pm. Try the coffee shop scene during the day, especially around Ari or the smaller sois off Sukhumvit like Soi 49. There's a place called Kaizen Coffee near Ari BTS where you'll see a lot of professional Thai women in their 30s reading or working on laptops, and it's totally normal to strike up a conversation there. Also, volunteering with organizations like the Bangkok Community Theatre or animal rescue groups like Soi Dog Foundation will put you around women who are actually invested in something meaningful, not just looking for a sponsor.

Yeah, it's a different game when you're looking for something real. Try getting into hobbies that aren't nightlife-focused, like climbing gyms, run clubs, or cooking classes. A lot of the quality Thai women in their 30s aren't on apps much, they meet people through friends or activities.

honestly, try the thai language classes or the run clubs like wewak. women there are usually working professionals not the club scene type. also, the dating apps here are just rough cause they skew touristy.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
